Hello Everyone,
Today I would like to introduce you to Madam Octo! Madam Octo is a Rose Hair Tarantula (Grammostola Rosea). We purchased this beautiful tarantula from our local pet store (another pity buy) and for the first two months we had this critter it felt like we were watering a pile of dirt in its enclosure. At this time Madam Octo has decided to grace us with its presence! Unfortunately, this has sparked a debate between me and my man about the sex of this tarantula. It seems that we may have to change its name to Sir Octavius, but we still love this beautiful animal. We are waiting for a molt to determine what its forever name will be. When we first purchased this tarantula, I thought that it was a very basic looking animal. Now, I can see the streaks of pink across its carapace, and I think it is lovely to watch. It is a calm tarantula and a ferocious hunter. Madam Octo always loves to double fist its crickets when it eats and has a very healthy booty.
