Hello Everyone,
Today I want to introduce you to one of my first tarantulas, Hannibal. This beautiful adult female is a Costa Rican Stripped Knee (Aphonopelma Seemanni). Her Beautiful deep black colorations with the stark white strips were what drew me into this hobby. Don't worry, she's always a tarantula who gives more. She got her name from her voracious hunger always waiting for us to offer her a second cricket before returning to her burrow. She was very shy when we first got her, often taking shelter in her hide and thumping when she was unhappy with what was happening. I remember watering her one day and she thumped the ground a few times just as if she was a human walking down the street unprepared for the rain, late for a job interview, and her best power suit was being ruined. Nonetheless, this is why I fell in love with tarantulas. Find your love for tarantulas, it's out there somewhere.
